The Far Paddock is part of our Valley East Estate Vineyard in Marlborough. As the name suggests, this small block of Pinot gris is located in the distant corner of the vineyard. The vineyard borders the lower reaches of the Wairau River with moderately heavy free draining silts. Being a low lying area near the river bank this is a cool vineyard and maturity comes one to two weeks after the average in the region.
